The October one isn't clashing with the US Conference, is it?

The weird thing is that the exhibition is clearly ready to go and only yesterday I had an answerphone message from Julia Hoffbrand enquiring about some of my collection!

If anyone wants an advance sneak preview here, this is a link to their own photos of the exhibition being put together :

I have to say - I am not impressed with what I see. This appears to be an exhibition on the LVP, not JTR.

May and October events at the Museum

    Dear all,

I'm assisting the Museum with the events discussed above, so can shed some light if anyone has any questions.

The format for the 17 May event is a 30 minute talk each from Robin Odell, Stewart Evans and Paul Begg, on the theme of 'Who Was Jack the Ripper?, with a break followed by a Q&A to the panel. Each talk will be accompanied by illustrative material.

    The event starts at 2pm.

Don Rumbelow is indeed scheduled to appear at the October event, but this won't share the 'Who Was the Ripper' theme - it will be more along the lines of the Saturday of a UK Ripper Conference, with a number of speakers and events.

    Best wishes
    Adam

I'm going to see the exhibition on the morning of the 17th. Wish I could go and see the talk as well, but I'm a Pompey fan and there is another event going on up the road that day which I don't want to miss!

Apparently there is another take on the same theme later on in the run which has Donald Rumbelow as a speaker.

Not me. I'll be at a Ghost Club meeting having just that morning flown back from somewhere. Now where is it? Oh yeah. Iceland. For the third time in a year.

Incompetent is too polite a word. The reporter's list of the five 'known' victims includes six names! The East London Advertiser needs a proofreader.

No good having Skinner, Monty. I'm not sure he has the faintest clue who Jack the Ripper was and would likely say so if on the panel. At least Williams and Trenouth claim to know.

    Love,

    Hi all

I e-mailed Julia Hoffbrand a couple of days ago asking her who these 'experts' were and am waiting on a reply.
