    Hi, Tom.

Poor Don is probably snowed in back there in Connecticut, so maybe he would welcome a big editing job?

I believe Kidney is innocent too; glad to hear you are working to exonerate him. The men who were close to the victims must have suffered horrible trauma for the rest of their lives; I pity them.

Bachert interests me very much. There doesn't seem to be much information available on him, so I'll look forward to that.
I don't know much about Le Grand, but I'm willing to learn.

    Best regards, Archaic

      Hi Arch,

I didn't realize how truly remarkable the chain of circumstancial evidence is against Bachert until I started working on the essay. As for Le Grand, he's a truly dark, evil character.

      Yours truly,

      Tom Wescott

Of that group my picks would be Jacob and William....I think the actual Leather Apron might also be a candidate. I for one believe Pizer and his family....he was not known as Leather Apron.

        Best regards

          Hi Lynn

exactly. Isenchmid is fascinating, but not a serious suspect. That was simply about Mrs Fiddymont.

Piggott's aliby itself makes Piggott a great Sept suspect.
Almost a joke. He said he fought with a woman in Brick Lane at 4:00 am, hence the bloodstains. Hence his walk to Gravesend.

          Amitiés
          David

            Evans & Skiner

Hello DVV. I presume you mean not a serious suspect for JTR? I wholeheartedly grant that. But, in keeping with your premise for the thread, I am looking at the evidence connecting JI with Polly and Annie ONLY.

Have you read the unsigned letter (Abberline? Helson?) with respect to JI and the interview with Mrs. JI (PP. 59 & 60, Evans & Skinner Ultimate Companion)? It seems that this chap, whilst having his mental attacks, moved around quite a bit.

Of course, he wasn't the only deranged butcher who was so far gone mentally that he could have killed Polly and Annie thinking he was slaughtering animals.

But I agree with you that JI's story is fascinating.

            The best.

              Hi Lynn,

far from being JtR, JI is even not a serious September suspect, when compared to Piggott.

Poor Mrs Isenchmid wanted to get definitely rid of her man.
Even one visit per month was too much.

              Amitiés,
              David

                distances

Hello DVV. You may be right about Piggott's being a good candidate for the slayings of Polly and Annie. In fact, that cognomen has popped up in other interesting contexts as well.

My major problem with JI, once again, is the distances involved from Mitford road in Holloway to the northern part of Whitechapel/Spitalfields. It is a bit over 5 miles. And even if we take the Caledonian road address where he was detained at one point, that's still over 4 miles. Not impossible to traverse but it detracts overall.

                The best.

Have you seen his two pics ?
I wish I could see his big yellow dog as well.

Is there anywhere to see these photos David?
