What would be really interesting is if the ouija board was actually played at the murder sites, see what happens then, perhaps?

Finally, a thread where I can discuss my real theory about time traveling cyborgs that visit 1888 London in order to kill the future mothers of world leaders so that machines can take over in the year 2050. Oh wait that sounds kinda like a movie I was watching. Well maybe it was space aliens then that couldn’t find a cow to experiment on. Does anyone know if there were any crop circles discovered around the time of the murders?

I take the existence of spirits to be a given, in that if each of us didn't have one within ourselves we would be nothing but lumps of dead flesh. But let's not debate theology.

For what its worth, though I've worked with some types of divination, I have never succeeded in getting a ouija board to do much of anything. I don't know, maybe mine's broken.

Surely, in all this time, someone must have done it. I'd be very surprised to learn otherwise.

This is an interesting topic worthy of more debate. I don't see how the spirit within us can live after the physical body is dead. If we have a soul, it is the product of human interaction that allows us to develop such attributes as empathy, respect for others, a conscience, a personality if you like. What use would a spirit be outside our physical existance? And, if people insist there must be 'life after death' then what of 'life before birth?'

You had willies put up you? I guess it is played differently in England than here.

                    ... it's not a Non-nein board, is it?

Communicating with spirits is something I heartily approve of, in fact I love it when a double comes along.
Considering the smoke and mirrors employed by many in this strange little world, I'd rather keep my hand on the glass, thank you very much.

                        Indeed.

I couldn't help but go to the site and try my hand. I always love a good grift.

So I asked (of course) :

Who was Jack the Ripper ?

                        NO ONE

                        Who was the Ripper ?

                        AN IMPOSTER

                        Now I'm intrigued.

                        So I query:

Who was the serial killer loose in London in 1888 ?

                        YOURSELF

                        Oh well.

I just tried to use a Quija Board for the first time, but whatever I asked all that was spelled out was A-R-E-Y-O-U-K-I-D-D-I-N-G-M-E.

On a serious note regarding fanciful ideas of what being dead entails, the only science to my knowledge regarding a possible link to a "spirit" that is kept within humans and released upon physical death is in the form of electrical output.

                          Best regards all.

I have been involved and studied the paranormal for as long as JTR and had a bad experience with an ouija board when i was 15 so i would really advise you to not use one - even for bravado .
You may think you are talking to a relative or loved one but much much more can come through, and not immediately, this can take months to manifest.

Forget all the glass moving because it doesn't involve that,it is the lack of spiritual protection that brings them in,you invite them and give them an open channel into your house.

                            Just think about it first..

Tryin to use one of them squeeji boards to solve the mystery is certainly innovative to say the least.
But before I would ever buy a book like that Im gonna need an endorsement from the amazing randi first.
