    Hi Thomas,

One would think that with all that psychic sensitivity they would channel Mary and find out who her killer was. One would think...

    Best,

    this is just sick, really!!!
have you all noticed this sentence at the bottom of the auction?

"Being as psychically sensitive as I am it needs to find a new home immediately!"

--> i'd rather say "mentally very instable". someone trying to make money with such an impious item certainly misses some cups in the dollhouse!
    (german saying)

on ebay.de an auction like this wouldn't last a day if there's enough complaints/reports (which i did just now!)

btw...i don't think it's just a coincidence that the layout of the ebay listing and the website of william perring kinda look the same, don't you think?

    Hi Guys,
I assume we all accept that this is a sick way of obtaining money, however one question, its a bit like asking the question, ' Would you swim in Loch Ness?, we all know that Nessie does not exist, but would you swim in its waters?
So would you have that doll in your house , even if it appears to be fraudulent, how would your fear factor react?
    Regards Richard.

Ah, well, no prizes for guessing who's bid on it, Ms Cornwell ...what do you reckon that the 'bloodstain' will be found to match a dab of tempera on a piece of board said to originate from a shop only three blocks away from Sickert's studio?

Here's a site that shows more, so these must have been common, if they're authentic. The prices are kind of low for antiques dolls, seems like.

There's a somewhat similar Victorian "china" doll, here: http://www.victorian-porcelain-dolls.com, midway down the page - albeit the hair is glazed black.

Does this doll even date to the right era? She looks old, but is the style of doll correct for the late 1880's?

    This is pretty awful.

And it's got a BID on it! Bloody fool deserves to lose their $9000, though the seller doesn't deserve to get it. Ooh, this made me angry.

The photo is from William Perry's book. Other than that, utter gumpf.

I feel unable to make any comment about this one!
There is on Ebay a doll named Ginger that is haunted by the spirit of Mary Jane Kelly who owned it
    I kid you not.
A full history of the object is there at

"I have heard from older generations of my family (all dead now) that this doll was one of her most beloved childhood possessions. In Mary’s younger years she left Ireland in pursuit of her dreams leaving her beloved doll behind. Picking up the nickname “Ginger” and eventually ending up in London taking on a whole new career I would rather not mention."

    Any thoughts?

BUT.........strangely Authorhouse is ringing more than a few alarm bells......along with the fact that the reviewer doesn't seem to be able to spell deprivation!

    What's it about?

It seems a rather poor advert as it tells us absolutely nothing about the book. However noting it is by Authorhouse you should see what other people they have on their books.

Well Karen Trenouth for one! Say no more.
