  • Useless Thread...

...................In which to rant because I wanna!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!! I am going to spend some time adding back the "fluff" threads. Life is better when it is fluffy.

And you thought they'd be gone for good!

You know Ally, we are tired of your incessant whining. Sure, you are a hero to many, but to others you are a pitbull waiting for your chance to sink your teeth into a free extremity. I hope this new casebook will cause you to reflect a bit before you recklessly attack the innocents.

        MMMM Flapjacks!!

I am hooked on Kinder Eggs at the moment, you wanna talk about useless,
What the hell are some of the toys inside supposed to be???

I loved em as a kid, but i erected some sort of launch pad for a mini helicopter blade, pulled a mini rip cord and nearly severed an artery!!

Seriously good fun though, but utterley useless.
        Regards Mike

That was the most pitiful attempt on record. XXXXXXXXXX Thank you for playing, try again! Maybe if you disparage my punctuation...

Ally, you want to rant a bit? You're not alone.

I wound up getting out of bed at 2:30 this morning. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I've made a pot of coffee, caught up on my e-mail, checked my LJ friends list for new posts, answered comments on one of my blog posts over on MySpace, created a dozen or more screen shot images for a chatroom project that I'm doing for Howard, and checked to see if the paint was dry on a little bitty oil lamp that I started restoring yesterday evening... I've done just about everything I can think of that can be done quietly.

I'd go get a book off my shelves, but since the auto accident last October I haven't been able to concentrate on reading - At least, not for very long. I've managed to read one book in all the time I've been on medical leave. I'm used to being able to read a 300 page novel every day. Two novels that size if I didn't have anything else to do that day. I'd love to be able to sue that kid that ran into us. But that's useless - Between the lawyer fees and the insurance company wanting their money back for our medical costs, I'd have to be awarded a million in damages just to break even. I don't see that happening. Not in real life.

It rained last night, so the ground will be too wet for me to start any outdoor projects after sunrise - even if it is warm enough to go outdoors. There's loads to do. Lyn wants to try having a small garden this year. Just a few vegetables, nothing fancy. We'll need to pick a good spot for it and do a little digging, that's all. I think she's going to start the seeds sprouting indoors, then transplant everything later. I hope we can keep the deer from eating it all.

We've got to assemble another garage kit. I bought two of them. They're like a tent with a steel framework underneath. We put one up in the back yard for my old dune buggy and motorcycle, etc. We're going to put the other one up in the front yard to house the new van we had to buy to replace the car that got totaled in the wreck. I can't decide where the best spot for the garage will be. We'll just have to start putting the frame together and move it around to see what works best.

Grrrrrr... That's enough ranting for now. I'd better post this before I hit the time limit for composing stuff here on the boards.

Well, Lyn and I do have to go do some shopping today. At least that'll get us out of the house for a while.

              .

"Do a little digging, that's all..." Oh boy... It's not that easy, Dan. We did the little digging bit for several years, and it is a killer. I suggest you borrow or rent a tiller because it will make it so much easier on both of you, especially after your auto accident. I also recommend getting plants that are ready to go in the ground. Doing seeds is harder unless you have a green house or something you can use as one. I tried seeds for years. It works better with plants.

If you're an accomplished gardener forgive me for sticking my nose in. I'm not trying to be pushy or a know-it-all. I just wanted to save you some work and some very sore muscles, as I know you are both "stove-up", as they say in this part of the world. Anyway, enjoy your garden. We enjoy ours.

If you are going to try it by hand, it would be easier to get started while the ground is wet from last night.

              Keep on trucking,

              C

Not fluffy little animals, to be sure! What a question!

Tomatoes, okra, eggplants, basil, etc. but no fluffy little animals.

Oh! And daisies. Big yellow ones with brown middles.

                    Think Positive!

I thought this thread would be perfect to remind people that we now have a perfect opportunity to lose the 'On The Trial of the Forgers' thread forever!!!!

I may also get to edit 'The Life Of William Henry Bury' Thread.........

I'd say that's two good reasons to think positive about the crash!

                    Regards,

Once upon a time when I was in college, on a trip to the Florida Keys, we made flapjacks, and the next day, the professor woke up to discover that he had flapjack arch supports in his shoes. Now, who would have done such a thing as to put flapjacks in a teacher's shoes?

Wasting a flapjack, I ask you.

you say? Hmmph! Anyway, it wasn't tomfoolery; it was fredfoolery! Take heart, steje, the flapjacks weren't wasted. There were flapjack doorstops, flapjack falsies (not mine), and other uses for them.

Hey! How come that little ball thingy next to my name is blue again? This morning it was a nice pretty green!

                              Uh-oh...it's green again.
