  • Barlinnie Documentary

I have just finished watching an excellent 3 part BBC documentary on Barlinnie Prison in Glasgow.
It gives the most realistic depiction, warts and all, of what it means to work inside the Scottish/British penal system.

I spent a few years working there on a specific project, and I found the whole experience amazing and enlightening.

As you would expect, there is a fair old smatterting of foul language throughout (with subtitles for those not familiar with the Glasgow accent).

    Link atached.

Inside 'The Big Hoose'. The reality of life behind the bars of Scotland's infamous prison. As it finally closes its doors, staff and inmates reflect on a violent, chaotic history.

Cheers Barn. It goes on my ‘to watch’ list.
