From what I understand, Ivan Milat has internet access so perhaps he can pop in here and give us the skinny
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

I thought he had it confiscated? I wonder if they tuck him in at night as well

I live very near there and let me tell you, it's a spooky place at the best of times. A body could lay there for years and never be found.
Does it surprise me that they've found another? Not at all.
Is it one od Milat's victims? Time will tell.
Either way, let us hope it's the last remains to be found.

This guy is a real piece of work. It sounds like a more extensive search is in order. Does his family cooperate at all? Dave

Since no clothing was found, how do they know the remains aren't a thousand years old?

Sdreid, they seem to be playing it close to the vest in the article but If I had to guess, relative age can be estimated by recovery conditions. Thousand year old bones would not present in a surface context with multiple bones like described in the article. Taphonomic processes might bring a (singular) thousand year old bone to the surface, but not widely distributed multiple bones. Dave

Ah, if they can determine the shirt's size (either by label of measurement) with bone length then they can get a rough estimate of the person's weight.

I think they're still searching the area. I wonder how many more are there.

Because this story is unfolding I thought keeping track on google earth might be a good idea. One of these images shows finds and dates. The other is zoomed in as much as possible without losing resolution. It gives an idea of the area. Dave
