This interesting account of Lipski's life, from the Pall Mall Gazette of 20 August 1887, is referred to in Martin Friedland's "The Trials of Israel Lipski" (1984). Like Aaron Kozminski and Chapman/Klosowski, Lipski was born in Poland in 1865. I found it interesting that he left Poland at the age of twenty in order to avoid conscription into the Russian army, as a number of Aaron Kozminski's family appear to have done.
