A thread to discuss the overall caases which have shocked us at some point in the past.
With the sentancing of the "Suffolk Strangler" taking up countless Newspaper columns and Airtime on TV I thought it would be a good idea to look at the Evil that has walked the darkest of paths before.
I think everyone remembers when Harold Shipman was caught and tried for the murder of hundreds* of patients, he had served in his capacity as doctor.
And the capture and Trial of Fred and Rosemary West, and the shocking story of "The House of Horrors", were children were taken, beaten, raped, tortured and killed.
The "Moors Murders" with Myra Hindley and Ian Brady, again focusing on children, again no one has a true idea of the actual victim count.
Peter Sutcliffe aka "The Yorkshire Ripper" who worked his way through Yorkshire attacking and killing women, until his capture and sentance.
These were seen as ordinary people, yet did extraordinary things.
