Is anyone familiar with this case? Basically he is Philadelphia's Jack the Ripper. Nine prostitutes in a very poor area of Philly were killed between 1985-1990. All witnesses saw the victims leaving the bar where the Slasher picked up his victims with an older white male with a limp. Despite this, Leonard Christopher (a black man), was convicted of one of the crimes. Only problem is that he didn't fit witness accounts, there was no evidence linking him to the other killings, and he was in jail when the final murder occurred. He is still in prison. There are no books written about this case, and it is hardly even remembered.

Yes, I've wondered why this case receives so little coverage unless there's some doubt that the murders were by a single person. I have two books with sections on this case and, I think, they are by the same author.
