    USA Trucker Murders

Interesting recent article here on roadside murders -

Its time with the internet and computer reseaources open to police forces these days that more surveys of this kind were done, and that inter-state / international co-operation was more general

    Hi Sara,

Yes, CNN did a segment on this a couple of evenings ago. They said the crimes went back 30 years. We've had some fairly well known ones here in this area, most notably, Tammy Zywicki who was a stranded motorist who was abducted and murdered. She was last seen standing by her disabled vehicle talking to a never identified truck driver who'd stopped to "help" her.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

The Yorkshire Ripper was a truck driver; I suppose it's a job which appeals to loners! Leaves them plenty of time for fantasising too...

It also give psychopaths opportunity and means of disposal etc etc. No-one thinks anything of a lorry parked in a lonely layby, and its bulk hides any activity on its blind side from passing vehicles
