150 years ago - 1867 August 24 - Eight-year-old Fanny Adams is savagely murdered by Frederick Baker, a clerk in a nearby law office. The little victim was decapitated, dismembered and otherwise grotesquely mutilated. Fanny's head was left stuck on the top of two hop poles in the garden where she was slain. Variuos organs, including her eyes, heart, vagina and intestines, were removed and scattered about the English countryside. Two other young girls reported seeing Fanny with Baker earlier and he was arrested this same day when blood was found on his clothing. Despite a plea of insanity, Baker will be convicted and hanged before this year is out. This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.
