Jack the Ripper of Atlanta Georgia

Has anyone got any info on this serial killer. I was searching through some serial killers and came across this article:

They name him the Atlanta, Georgia Jack the Ripper. He strangled his victims before cutting their throats then he mutilated them in a sexual way.

The murders started in 1911 and seem to be direct copycats of our Whitechapel boy.

there was even a double-event on May 23, 1910!
It also looks like this killer switched his preferred method from gunshot to throat cutting.

Author Vance MacLaughlin is probably the leading expert on the deaths attributed to the Atlanta Ripper. It was my inquiring about that topic a few years back that led to him sharing some information on J. Frank Hickey, aka the Postcard Killer. He's also working on a book about another largely forgotten American serial killer more than a century ago. There were a number of cases like this which we just don't know much about these days.

A woman who survived a probable attack said that the perpetrator was a black man. All of the victims were mixed race women. A motive posited was that the killer was some sort of racial purity freak.

I've not heard of anyone working on a book about it, but then unless the fact was made public I probably wouldn't know. Vance might be.
