Bergerac, for those who don't know, starred John Nettles as the eponymous detective. Nettles now stars as Chief Inspector Barnaby in the series Midsomer Murders. This is apparently one of Johnny Depp's favourite television programmes, and recent reports in the British press claim that Johnny would like to appear in the series.
