Such a perfect irony to this story... I wonder how she feels now about her child's right to handle a loaded gun in a moving vehicle...?

I don't know if it will necessarily change her mind, but perhaps it will make her think about the Florida law against storing a gun where a child can get ahold of it. It seems common sense, and I have read messages in other forum discussions that they teach their kids not to touch guns, they know safety, etc.

That's great, for the folks who follow the rules-- but this case, and so many others, prove to us that plenty of people do not keep their guns away from their children.
