New Years resolution: unmask Jack The Ripper.

Except, I found him in 2013 and like Pierre I can't give you a name at the moment. For no other reason than every time I try typing his name out I lose commitment to it and think: "ah forget it, they're not interested in the facts anyway".

All I can tell you is he could be a policeman, it wasn't a woman, he held an unrivalled aversion to grapes and he was no more than a misunderstood rogue.

I think it's more likely to be Steve Hart. (One of the Kelly gang.) After all, he reputedly rode about in drag on occasion, and I'm sure that would have made a good disguise. I don't know whether he liked grapes though.

                          Happy New Years Day all!

                          Resolutions:

                          1) Must lose weight (I sort of match the late Claimant, Mr. Orton or Castro or Tichborne, in girth). This traditionally is the first of my resolutions to go down the tube.

                          2) Keep observing the comedy (I try to view it as such) of the resident self-loving intellectual snob who claims he knows all, and patronizingly dismisses everyone else.

                          3) Hope that idiot does not go onto other websites I look at that have nothing to do with Whitechapel and it's myriad mysteries.

                          4) Try to get back to more serious writing.

                          Jeff

Presumably she was not prescient, and did not know that in seven years another Kelly would die rather horribly.
