The coach can pray all he wants just not in his capacity as a representative of the state. He was warned prior to this by the school. He chose to ignore the warning and continued to pray.

^ This is true. I know the state-funded college I work at allows decorated trees, but there are no Nativity scenes anywhere around. We're not supposed to use our computers or photocopiers for political campaigning, either.

As long as there is a wall between church and state as Jefferson envisioned then all religions are safe. It is only when the state gives preference to one religion that all religions are in danger. The school did the right thing.
