  • Shamelessly promoting myself

As some of you might know, I'm writing a fiction about Jack The Ripper.

I am now aware that historical fiction takes a lot more time and work than other type of fiction, but I'm getting there.

Meanwhile, a totally different fiction of mine just got published.

If any of you are interested, here is the link.

The book is also on sales in Amazon US, Canada and Australia, paperback and e-book.

    Cheers!

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

                Congrats on your book!

I've been reading a lot of Ripper fiction lately and actually find it more satisfying than the Ripper fiction that passes as true crime, but that is besides the point. I'm wondering to what extent - if any - a writer of Ripper fiction would benefit from reading lots of it. I suppose you would want to know what has been done, what works, etc.

The book I published isn't about JtR. The one I'm writing is.
I did a first draft last year. I was very unhappy about it. I salvaged maybe 25% of it and restarted.

My angle is about the ripper getting caught quite early in the game, but few people know, and a sinister organization picked up his blade and continued his macabre work. All of this to keep the press and police busy while something else is happening.

It's very far fetch, but I work hard to keep it plausible.

                  and, thank you.
