Just checking on you, sha. Can't pretend to know a thing about cricket. From Voltaire writing in Diderot's Encyclopédie:
"One demands of modern historians more details, better ascertained facts, precise dates, , more attention to customs, laws, commerce, agriculture, population."

Not to mention the first 9 balls bowled.
Then..A Root cause of a problem..One could hardly Bairstow a more fitting epitaph on the demise if the Australian Cricket team than today's England performance.
Have a look at the list of English bowlers to have taken 8 wickets or more in a Test match...ever.
Braund, Verity, Laker(twice) and Willis amongst them.
Broad has entered history. .to which I fear, Michael Ckarke's captaincy is about to be swallowed up by.
I will confess to one thing.
When England reached 21-0 I thought....
well..at least we have survived the follow on.

Of course you can always rely on the the British Press enjoying themselves on these occasions. 'Laughing stock', 'abject failures', 'Throw another wimp on the barbie', (that last one was the Sun.) Clarke said 'It was one of my worst days'. ONE of them!

My lunches last longer than an Aussie innings.
No,
She is just clearing her throat.
Swann was proven right about Smith. He cannot play the moving ball. Hell, none of them can. He moves too much himself. Root is currently the best batsman in the world, he shall be a legend.
And Clarke states the Aussies won't change their attacking style. Hell, if that's the case, they shall never win in England again. You guys play too hard at the ball, instead of watching and letting it come on.
Essentially yesterday was the perfect example of how not to bat in England. They had no scooby, and we exploited that to the maximum.
The best part of TMS yesterday was listening to Jim and Pigeons voices cracking with anger and embarrassment. Heck, at one stage I thought it could be over that day.
Expect a sensible attacking display from Root, Buttler, Stokes, Ali, and Broad (who all can bat) today, and the 3 days of Aussie attempts to hold on under fierce bowling. If they last that long.

PS, I got some second hand Aussie bats to sell, great condition, never used.Last edited by Monty; 08-06-2015, 09:33 PM.Monty
