One day an obnoxious 6 year old boy was being babysat by his uncle, to shut the rambunctious child up the uncle put on a record, “B.B. King Live at the Regal” and the child was hypnotized by what he heard…. When he got home be begged and begged his parents for a guitar until they finally gave in…. 35 years later I still play. This morning when I woke up for work and saw the news i began to cry, then I picked up a guitar and began playing….and smiling.. and I thanked B.B King for the lifetime of joy that he gave not only to that 6 year old boy….but to the entire world!!

Rest in peace Riley B King.. to paraphrase the late George Harrison…. Today all of our guitars are gently weeping

Also an example of music [together with sport] being big ways to climb the wealth ladder.

A sad day indeed and to think that we have also recently lost two other greats, Otis Redding and Ben E. King.

The Righteous brothers sang "Rock and Roll Heaven, you know they have a hell of a band" maybe we now need "Music Heaven You know they'll have a hell of a Jam"
