      I can understand the argument if you offer pro-choice you must also offer pro-life, but I really find it hard to believe that anyone could say you must offer "MY" plates ie "Kill all Jews" or the like.

        I don't see the confederate flag as necessarily "hateful", far from it.
        It's a matter of identity, culture and...nostalgy.

          Exactly.

          In all honesty, the technology is there for everyone to be able to have their own individual design of license plate anyway. I can see where that might create problems with readability, though.

            We've got some here that are unreadable but I've been told that the police have technology that lets them read them.
