    SPOILER PRIME SUSPECT

that's what I like about Prime Suspect season 1. They have the right guy very early on, but they can't prove it. So they do a lot of frustrating back and forth.

That kind of thing won't work well on a 42 minute show with commercial interruptions every 7 minutes.

One thing that bugs me a lot in TV shows, is how useless the supporting cast is often painted.

I like when the team work is well done, and not everything is concluded because of the sole effort of the hero.

What irritates me most of all is when a policeman (or woman!) enters a room with gun at the ready and DOESN'T LOOK BEHIND THE DOOR.

        (Swedish policemen all carry guns).

One thing i've noticed is that if a character has a disability of any kind ranging from being deaf to a simple broken wrist, it will be the key to the solution some how.
