Good Lord! Are you kidding me? Let's just throw established science and the opinions of medical experts out the window.

Sometimes I think that there are forces within America determined to reduce its status and make it almost a third world country - abandon modern medical advances with crucial vaccines, let the rest of the world move ahead, abandon available medical care for every citizen, forget clean energy sources technology, let other countries obtain the advantages, let's go back to the 19th century with gas and oil, cut involvement and aid to underdeveloped countries, let China and Russia take over ...

Hello Doctored,
Yes, I agree. These people are completely nuts. If I were the parents of young kids in Florida I would be outraged. Somebody would probably get punched.
I remember during Covid when many of the anti-vaxxers said they did not need the vaccine because they had a God-given immune system. I always wanted to ask them hey, what happened to all those God-given immune systems during World War I when 50 million people died from Influenza? Were those immune systems on vacation?
What a bunch of idiots.

I think that it's part of the general trend of more people believing in conspiracy theories, which stems partly from some people not being able to distinguish good sources for bad ones, and others wanting to think they're more clever than others because they don't believe the "accepted narrative", which is a label often given to documented facts. As an American, it does seem to me that other Americans are more likely to be prone to this kind of thinking, but I don't know why that would be.
