    Anti-irritations!

What makes you happy and forget your irritations?

I have one essay left to write and then I'm done with university! I went quite late (I'm 30 this year) because I never really wanted to go and especially didn't want debt. For various reasons I ended up going and whilst it was good, I'm glad it's over.

I'm happy that I have employment, which was hard to find up North.

I'm grateful that I live in a time and place of being able to have so much.
O have you seen the devle

I’m glad that things are going well Tani.

I’ll get the obvious things out of the way….family, friends, books, music, nature…..and alcohol of course.

If this is England I really hope you mean a lot further up than Leeds or Manchester... otherwise I'll have to visit the 'irritations' thread

To answer your question, erm a relatively pain free couple of hours is nice now and again, or a drive out with the better half to see some National Trust type places.

Dare I say something to do with the mrs and part of the anatomy that Saucy would always target, or will that get me a ban?

An anti-irritation is being able to refer to Jack the Ripper as 'Saucy'

Only Aussies will understand. Anytime Collingwood is defeated.
Why a four-year-old child could understand this report! Run out and find me a four-year-old child, I can't make head or tail of it.

Still sponsored by Hard Yakka? I think when I was last there Essendon was the team, but I had a good friend play for the Western Bulldogs so I had to follow them for a few years.

Not wishing to give any support to Collingwood or to its sponsors, all I will say is their major sponsor is now one of the Middle Eastern airlines.

Thanks. Not sure how good he was in respects to other players of his time/position etc but my mate was Brett Montgomery. He played for Adelaide as well. He actually came over to England in 1992 to play cricket for our local team and then on returning to Aussie chose to play Footy over Cricket as a profession. Great sport footy, in my opinion.

Well, it's a cliché but on the one hand I'll go with the company of loved ones, chat, laughter, good food & drink, music, travel, noise and frenetic activity.

On the other hand (and of equal importance) a couple of days with nothing I need to do and nowhere I need to be. A really engrossing book, window open with the smell of cut grass and summer rain wafting in, cats dozing peacefully by my side. Heaven!!

It's a nice balance to all of our gripes on the "Irritations" thread!

Congratulations on completing your uni course and I hope your job brings you much satisfaction!
