    I am a huge fan of Thoreau and have his different drummer quote framed. I have to say I was offended by this article. I can see the magazine staff sitting around the table and somebody says "I know, let's do a major hit piece on an admired and well respected famous figure in American literature."

    I wonder how the author herself would fare when placed under a microscope. I can guess.
