The Best Suspect?
Finally, I've found my suspect of choice... Woohoo!

It was him what done it, Governor [or something like that...]

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but this overwhelms me. They are all so bad; it's hard to choose between degrees of terrible, especially when they differ on different dimensions of terribleness.
A related question: Which is the best worst Ripper suspect? By best I don't mean the most possible out of all the highly improbable candidates. I mean what is the most wildly improbable suspect that you could turn into such a compelling piece of (fiction) literature that we all would love to read it just for the jollies? It wouldn't make us critical or mad like the Sickert stuff; it would be absolutely hilarious and leave us wanting more.Last edited by Barnaby; 07-06-2014, 09:50 PM.

Yep, they're all so bad I'm having trouble choosing myself
You should be able to multi-vote, hopefully [yet I still can't decide...]

Van Gogh's a pretty good bad suspect, I fear. However I may object to the shameless profiteering that undoubtedly underpins the whole 'theory'; I bet it'll be popular.

A tough choice, but I had to go with Lewis Carol. Because Bigfoot did not make the list. There Will Be Trouble! http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Little-Tro...s=T.+E.+Hodden

There is a guy trolling the JREFF forums pretending to believe that Jack The Ripper, the devils hoof prints, cot death, Titanic, and any UFO seen by an astronaut were all in fact giant dragonflies with mind control eyes.
Truly it is a terrible theory in all senses of the word. There Will Be Trouble! http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Little-Tro...s=T.+E.+Hodden

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.
