If some helpful person could enlarge, here's a second Neanderthal who'd be most grateful too...

All the best

Insert an image

G'day Dave and Dave

Click "Post Reply"

Then at the top of the box you type in is a row of symbols starting with the "B" the 5th from the right [to the left of the quote button] is a square that looks a bit like a post card, click on it. Type in the URL of the image.

Otherwise if it is not web based image click on the paper clip in the top row, 3rd from right then in the window that open click on the top "Browse Button" find the picture you want to attach click on it, click "open" click "upload" and you should be set.

Hope this helps and works

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

You can also join Photobucket (or similar), a program where you can upload your own library of images to use whenever the need arises.
In such a program each image has an address attached to it which you cut and paste into any forum which permits images.
Typically, each image has a prefix , where the URL or image address is written between the prefix & suffix.
Regards, Jon S.

Hi David,

I've just come here after posting a photograph of Mary Williams (Hughes) over on the 'Antonia Alexander offers supposed photo of Mary Kelly' thread. I was finally able to do this by following Gut's instructions in the third paragraph of his post in reply to you. As I had already scanned the pages from the book into my laptop it worked. Perhaps it can work for you, even in Corsica.

Hi Gut,

Thank you SO MUCH for your advice. It actually worked! I've had no luck at all with any other method (see my attempts on the 'Antonia Alexander offers supposed photo of Mary Kelly' thread!).

Hi David,

I've just been making a nuisance of myself over on the Antonia Alexander thread and I can't get it to work now either, except for the photo of the baby owl and I'm very confused as to how I did that! It's 9.47 p.m. here at the moment and so I think I'll go to bed.

Hi David,

Try this:

Click 'Post Reply'.
Write a short message.
Click on the Paper Clip in the top row.
Click on the top 'Browse' button.
Click once on the picture you want to post.
Click 'Open'.
Click 'Upload'.
Then click on 'X' (top right-hand corner)
Click on the Paper Clip again.
Click on the name of the picture under 'Manage Attachments'.
Then on your 'reply' will show (ATTACH)16005(ATTACH) - this is my own number, of course!
Then press 'Submit Reply'.

Hopefully it will work for you. Just remember that your picture must not be bigger than 293.KB. I had to make my image quite a bit smaller.

Carol

PS I am going to bed now.

It looks so simple...

1 : I open my Bowmore and fill my glass
2 : I look at it and have a nose
3 : Glups !
4 : I forget attaching images

Thanks Carol

Yes, on due reflection I think I prefer your technique too...
