First lesson up -- stoning to death of stubborn and rebellious children. Bet that gets their attention!

In the immortal words of the comic strip Pogo "We have met the enemy and he is us."

The sad thing is I think this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I might make myself very unpopular here, but I am both an atheist and an anti-theist. I feel that nothing has caused mankind more misery and suffering than the lingering beliefs of Bronze Age peasants. This is superstitious nonsense trying to be forced into our public schools. Religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people afraid of the dark. This is akin to "Intelligent Design," which they attempted to slide religion into public school curriculum. Fortunately, the SCOTUS recognized it for what it was and slapped it down. If they want to incorporate the Bible into school studies, I say fine.....BUT.....they must also incorporate the teachings of the Koran, the Bhagavad Gita, The Talmud, and even the Satanic Bible. Failure to do that would imply the preference of one religion over another, and that is a clear violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.
