I feel sorry for the lady needing a job and all that, but to leave two little kids locked in a car.

If she couldn't get them looked after for the interview what was she going to do with them while at work? At least until her first pay.

Pity the person raising the $91K didn't do anything to help while this poor lady was so desperate and before the kids lives were put in danger.

Something not mentioned here too is how these women with kids and no husband at home get a lot of assistance from the state, here in Az it's called Ahcccs. It's state aid. The state also provides them with a place to live and a monthly check.

Arizona has a lot of ways to help you get on your feet and cope with being a single mom. There’s help with food, help with housing and heating bills, help with healthcare, childcare and even help with transportation costs. You could find you’re eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the state for you or your kids to get a better education.

There is no way she could have gotten any assistance with child care from the state between the time the interview was set up and the time it happened. Between 3 to 10 days. She may have a regular sitter or a family member that helps her out who simply wasn't available that day. She may be able to put her kids into day care with the state paying some of the costs, but without a job she cannot cover the rest. A lot of things happen.

Sure something is missing from the story. We don't know what options she went through before deciding to take her children with her. But it doesn't mean something nefarious or outrageous happened. She simply may have chosen what she perceived as the least bad option.

It's worth pointing out that as yet we dont know for sure if this lady was indeed attending a job interview. All we have at the moment is either her word for it or an unconfirmed claim in a newspaper.

I live in the Phoenix area. What a lot of people don't know is that not only could those children have died in that hot car (it doesn't take long here in Phoenix), but according to local newspaper reports, she also left the keys in the car. Her car could have been stolen with those kids in it and then who knows what could have happened to them. We have no-cost options here thru various social service agencies that she could have used.

The children were also wearing a double layer of clothes and wrapped in blankets!!

She was not homeless or unemployed, she lives with her mother who has stated she would have watched the kids.

The photo looks rather suspicious as well. Those tears just don't look genuine - more like the glycerine that film companies use on actors to make them appear as if they're crying.

There is NO excuse for anyone to leave a child, or an animal, unattended in a hot place. She is a person who obviously has no presence of mind and no common sense.

I, for one, would not wish to employ a person who would be STUPID enough to do something like that.

And the person donating money to this idiot needs a kick up the backside. More money than sense obviously.
