George RR Martins 'Game of thrones'

Any fans of George R R Martin's pseudo medieval fantasy epic out there.
I admit that the books and the HBO show have become a guilty pleasure; i judge it as somewhere between John Boorman's ' Excalibur ', I Claudius, Monty Python, Conan the Barbarian, and Terry Gilliam's' The Jabberwocky '.
Like to hear other peoples views on Martin's quirky, entertaining, and frequently profane world.

Got them on kindle plus Dvds.....Love 'em ....Sword and Sorcery for grown-ups!(and spotting bits lifted from The Wars of the Roses is fun)
