If Pat Robertson were still alive, I wonder what he would have to say to the pastor about his androgynous nickname.

I switched from "Patty" to "Pat" in high school, because the former was babyish in my opinion.

This business about the pastors pushing hate is depressing.

I agree, and this pastor is also pushing an absurd idea.

"Androgynous" names/nicknames are the least of America's worries. This is a country where it's fine to give your child a made-up name that means naff-all, or give them a bunch of surnames with no Christian name in sight... Jackson Pollock, Curtis Northrup Strange and Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson, I'm looking at you.
            Kind regards, Sam Flynn

yeah ive never understood the whole last name for a first name thing here. nor giving your child the same first name as yourself. nor the stupid nonsense first names thats amuck among celebrities.

one thing i find cool is the beautiful, creative first names that many black people here name their children.

Hate pastors, ey? Is that still a thing these days? A few years ago I started a new job in december. First week, we did a Secret Santa. I got "Ashley" who was sitting next to me. I got her a nice pamper-packet, body-butter and all that jazz (on my wife's trusted recommendation). When Ashley from Finance did get his secret santa, he was a bit puzzled. But we got it straignted out immediately. I am sure the body butter got re-allocated. It was top of the range.

Oh, well! There are names that work for both men and women: Robin, Kelly, Dakota... Glad it was settled!

Hasn't the pastor got more important things to be concerned about? What possible enjoyment could 'the devil' get from faffing around with young people's names when 'he' can be convincing more and more young people to carry guns and other weapons to harm each other with? What would bother God more: a person who adopts a different gender but who has a Christian heart and harms on one, or a person with the correct gender-specific name, killing and injuring children in a school, or people in a shopping centre?
