Well, I'm not British but I'm not for porn either. I've know a few people who made commercial porn and believe me, there's a lot goes on in that industry that is much worse than their pictures.
Just a quick correction about Prohibition in the United States. Alcohol consumption actually DECREASED by some estimates by more than a third during Prohibition. Having said that, the organized crime takeover outweighed any societal benefits of this reduced consumption.
