This is when family quarrels extend to innocent animals. Father, in his seventies, was aruging with adult son, who was riding a champion show horse. Father fetched gun, aimed and fired at the son, but hit the horse instead. The son, also a horse trainer, was unhurt, but the horse was badly wounded, and later needed to be put down.
