Oh make no mistake, Fox did not get rid of Tucker because of anything he said on air, which he did with their full support and encouragement. If he got sacked, he was sacked for the embarrassing comments that came to light in the course of discovery where he was shitting all over Fox news. THAT'S the unforgiveable betrayal -- to the sacred name of the Murdochs - not the actual betrayal of ethics, values or journalistic integrity.

        I hear Putin is hiring.

Well, he did also cost them a huge amount of money for the settlement. But this does seem to indicate that the MAGA power may be fading. I hope!

I think in Tucker Carlson's case that should be "re-hiring"

Might have been a sick joke, but I heard on the radio this morning that Tucker the F***** might try to run for President.

The saddest thing is, I'm sure there would be people lining up to vote for him.

yes, I always thought that he might think about it in 2028 but yesterday's events bring 2024 into play for him as well. We know that he hates Trump. And he could conceivably play the "Fox didn't allow me to tell the truth" card which is catnip to the MAGA crowd..... Whatever he choses to do next, I'm sure it will be completely INSANE

I don't think anyone will be 'lining up' to vote for Carlson. In the U.S., only the black neighborhoods have lines wrapped around the block in order to cast a vote.

There are always plenty of voting booths in the white neighborhoods. Funny how that works.

indeed. it seems that RT have now offered him a job:

Putin-linked propagandists troll American media with their bid for the ousted far-right pundit’s attention

unclear though if RT are just trolling or if this is a sencere offer. Or it could be a sincere offer to maximize the trolling....

                      • The rape trial against Trump for an encounter with a journalist in the 90s in New York started today. It's a civil suit, which means it gets around the seven-year expiriation period on most criminal trials. Trump has no plans to attend, claiming he didn't do it, and she's not his "type" anyway. Oh please! Any human female who's breathing is DJT's type!

Disney World is suing Governor DeSantis of Florida for interfering in how they operate their business. You'd think a state relying on tourist dollars would be more cautious about something like that.

                        • Following his arrival in Scotland this morning, DJT apparently did not know where he was.

"Mr Trump left the plane and walked to his car, telling reports 'it's great to be home', though he did not take questions."

Donald Trump has arrived in Scotland ahead of a visit to his nearby golf course, marking his first trip to the UK in four years.

                            I hope Janey Godley was there to welcome him again;

The comedian turned up to a protest at the former US President's Turnberry golf course with a sign that read 'Trump is a c**t' back in 2018.

                            • Trump has been found liable of sexual assault and defamation by a jury of 9 men and women. Fox News were out of the gate proclaiming that he had ben cleared of rape . The verdict was probably helped by a disastrous and INSANE video deposition where he:

                              1. Confuses E. Jean Caroll for his ex-wife (after stating that she was not his type which now presumably extends to his ex-Wife).
                              2. States that for the last 1 million years, Stars were always able to grab women by the p**sy. "Fortunately or unfortunately" (presumably fortunate for the grabber and unfortunate for the grabbee).
                              3. that he himself was a star so that the rule above could be applied to him.
                              4. That he lawyer interviewing him was also not his type.
                              5. That he can't remember if during the Hollywood Access tape recording, he was engaged or married to Melania (he does not remember when he got married basically).

Following this video depositon, he stood on a golf-coure in Ireland and proclaimed that he "had to return to New York to confront that woman", which of course he did not.

This whole episode has of course been completely absurd and there is so much more to come of the next few months. Buckle up eveyone, as they say.

                              • 'A jury of your peers'. This is Manhatten, 85% Democrat. This would be similar to expecting a black man to get a fair trial in 1950's Alabama.
