  • Raquel Welch Dead

Surprised to learn that Raquel Welch died at the age of 82. No cause of death was mentioned in the piece that I’ve just seen though. When I was young I recall that if a woman was considered attractive people would say “yeah but she’s no Raquel Welch.” Sad news.
    Regards

Just read the sad news about Requel Welch
    .
Like so many of the women of her era, their natural beauty , sex appeal and screen presence set them apart from any other time in history. Requel was right up there with the very best. Rip . I remember watching her as a teenager in " Fantastic Voyage " that was some film .

The bikini scene is what I remember. RIP.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

Amongst the claims to fame of Raquel Welch, at least for cricket followers, she was briefly related through family marriage to Fred Truman. Raquel's son had a short lived marriage to Fiery Fred's daughter.

I’d love to have heard a conversation between her and the famously blunt Truman. I doubt if she would have appreciated the value of a good side on bowling action or whether she agreed that the batsmen were better “in my day.”

No, Herlock, but I bet she could have caught a few balls in her pinny.

Sad news, I can't remember how many posters I had of her. Especially that one from 1 Million Years BC, in that animal skin bikini, a life-size version.
My mother would always draw my bedroom curtains, she didn't want the neighbors seeing 'that half naked woman!

82 isn't that old, but we find many are dying in their mid 80's these days. RIP, all the great one's are passing away.
