why so quiet

Hi.
Is it me , or have we all gone extremely quiet in the last few days, only a handful of posts daily. on topics overcooked.
Surely we have not all emptied on ideas, we need some new blood[ excuse the pun] to freshen us all up, and get the taste buds working again.
I am as guilty as any , I guess their comes a time when one has to recharge ones batteries, and find the enthusiasm to continue on.

If the best this Forum can do is to include posts that claim Vincent van Gogh was The Ripper, then it's hardly any surprise that people are reluctant to post here. Plus there are, as I'm sure you will agree, a few shall we say less frivolous posters whose attitudes are, to say the least, disappointing, and thus do tend to discourage polite discussion. I name no names....

Casebook is a fascinating site, but the subject has its limits, I have been posting since before the start of this century, and seen many people come and go, although the subject still holds a fascination for me . and always will, many people tire of it and move on , which is understandable.

Tire is correct. But of the world arround us. NOT the casebook. One may find meaning in the most peculiar of places. This of course does NOT trivialise the locale, so much as the world that it holds bearing over. Adios, for a little while.

I think there is only so much juice that can be squeezed from any particular lemon, and although some excellent discussion continues on the Forum, there is, compared with a few yours ago, some highly trivial and openly weird stuff. And I don't hold myself entirely free of blame, either, before anyone says anything. The other thing that never fails to annoy me is being lectured to, and this aspect seems to have increased quite a lot in the past year or two. I don't mind anyone digging in his or her heels and getting stroppy with it - that's all part of the fun and enjoyment - but when posters who take their particular subjects (and themselves) way too seriously, won't be argued with and then go into Lecturer Mode, I lose interest.
