I love this website. Still location photos from movies with corresponding modern day photos of the same location.
Hi Sir Herls,
I'd seen something similar before (possibly the same site?). It's such a simple idea but wonderfully well executed. Totally addictive once you start clicking!
It is a fantastic site.
I’ve used it for years, and the great thing is, you can search movies by the location they were filmed.
Thanks to this website, I’ve searched and watched a few awful movies just because they were filmed in locations familiar to me
Thanks Herlock.Just been perusing the Bond film,Dr No.Pictures.Familiar with most of the Jamaican photos from my time there in 1948/49. Dunn River falls especialy, and a sunday in May 1949.when a party of Jamaican girls and British soldiers held an introduction party there.Except for one local couple,we had the beach and the falls to ourselves. The falls themselves hasn't changed, but the area has.Wonder if the old tradition of introduction party is still held, and does a girl still keep an engagement notebook?
Dr No i believe, was based on a true person. The three blind mice, what did they represent?

No problem Harry, I haven’t looked at the Bond films yet but I’ll certainly get around to it as there are so many films on there. I recall you mentioning spending time in Jamaica on another thread though. Something in the back of my mind tells me that Dr. No might have been based on someone but I can’t remember who it was and I couldn’t find out by a bit of Googling. I couldn’t find out who the Three Blind Mice were based on either but one link mentions the three Oxford Martyr’s although I can’t see any connection to the movie characters? The three actors apparently weren’t named in the credits but have been named fairly recently though.
Regards
Sir Herlock Sholmes.
