Hi crberger, the story that runs through my family is that the murderer was a well to do person who drowned himself soon after last murder.my father and his two sisters often referred to Whitechapel as a piss hole and certainly an area to be avoided at all costs unless you were up to no good....I havnt got anything earth shattering to add to this fascinating case but if I every happen to get given anything like a diary in a Liverpool pub I will give you a shout then again surely no one would believe meThree things in life that don't stay hidden for to long ones the sun ones the moon and the other is the truth

Curious,
The family tradition seems to follow the suspect line of J.M. Druitt, the barrister, I wonder if that's what most/some of the residents of Whitechapel thought...and why? More of me thinking out loud than expecting an answer, perhaps I should wander over to the suspect thread and ask...Anyway, this thread might be the closest that I will ever get to Whitechapel so excuse the curiousity.
