Well,that explains some of the posters here on Casebook

Ultimately everyone is responsible for their own actions. But in this case, I think the employee has a legitimate argument that there was a great deal of pressure to attend and participate. How a big company like this could be so stupid as to engage in something like this is beyond me. All they had to do was run it by the legal department first. My guess is that this is going to cost them.
