I was bummed to see that the Manchester born actor David Warner passed away, aged 80. Among many other memorable films, he starred in the Jack the Ripper themed thriller, Time After Time (1979). A fine actor.

Oh, I knew his name and have seen many of his films. "Time After Time" was an amazing film! Rest in Peace, Mr. Warner.
We also lost film and tv actor Paul Sorvino.Pat D. https://forum.casebook.org/core/imag...rt/reading.gif

I had a very strange encounter with David Warner not so many years back. I had just started working for Ealing Council and was trying to find this little community venue where I had a meeting. As I walked pass the local theatre I thought I would as for directions. I saw these two blokes outside and went up to them to ask. There had there backs to me so had no idea who they were. They turned around one was David Warner and the other David Jason. We had a bit of a chat about where this place I was headed was and they sent me off. Of course it turns out they sent me in completely the wrong direction but then who was going to argue with those two! Was quite bizarre but rather cool!
Best wishes,
Tristan
