Can't believe it's been that long since he burst onto the scene. Seems like yesterday that we all thought there was no chance that somebody from outside of Japan would ever win this again.

Is that really in ten minutes...unbelievable, that's a hot dog and bun every eight and a half seconds, kept up (or should that be kept down) over the whole period...

I'm amazed that he didn't die. I wouldn't have thought that was physically possible.

It wasn't the capacity that surprised me Ginger, but the speed...I used, in my early days, to be able to eat prodigous amounts of greasy junk food, and foolishly did, (KFC 20 piece chicken bucket, coleslaw and fries wasn't unknown - and oddly...perhaps because I smoked for years I didn't put on weight), hence as an overall result probably my angina...(don't do it guys!)...

It was the sheer speed that stunned me....wouldn't have thought it humanly possible!
