Apparently it's not as funny as it sounds. I knew someone who got an infection while doing volunteer work in S. America, and had an erection that lasted several days, which had nothing to do with sexual stimulation, it had to do with blocked blood vessels, and congestion of erectile tissue. He had to be catheterised, and fly back to the US for treatment that way. I'm not a man, but that sure sounds like an ordeal.

'Course, that guy go an infection doing charity work. The guy in the article was getting penile implants. So, maybe he deserves a snicker or two.
