    Hi Phil!

I've only just found out you are in hospital. (The trouble some people go to when they want some extra attention never fails to surprise me).

I hope you are soon back to normal (what have I said!) and be careful around those young Scandinavian nurses - (I won't say any more but you know what I mean).

    Lots of love,
    Carol xxx

        Hey, Phil;

Sounds like you've had a miserable week but it also sounds like there's light at the end of the tunnel.

So glad you (however briefly) got to a keyboard and got to see how many well wishes are here for you. I hope things get better for you soon and the prognosis continues to look good.

I only just saw this thread.

Best wishes, Phil, for a full and speedy recovery. We don't want you finding out who Jack was quite yet.

Just make sure you keep all the vices to a minimum from now on: no smoking, drinking, women, cakes or chips. You may not live any longer, but at least it'll feel like it.

          Love,

          Caz

              Hello all,

At this moment in time I would like to thank all for their words of kind thoughts, humour, advice and care.
              I am on the mend.

I will still ask others to post for me (as this post) via dictation if longer posts, but am getting there slowly.

It has been a scary road I must say... there was a 20 min spell in my life I will never forget, being faced with the possibility of having my head opened up to save my life if necessary, and my wonderful, fantastic, 17 year old son was there, and HAD to be there, to hear the possibility of that happening.. and for 20 mins we were facing the worst of scenarios.

When that was dismissed, we breathed a hell of a lot easier I can tell you.

BTW... the rumour of how painful a "spinal tap" is are justified...

and I had THREE...because they got nothing out the first two times... and don't, whatever you do, look at the needle they use.....
My son did the third time... and he said, as it went in.. "Wow!!"...which didnt help the pain I must say..lol

Again, thanks all for the kind words of encouragement.

                Hi Phil

Good to hear that you are on the mend. It's experiences like this that make us appreciate the little things, like the scent of a flower, the song of a bird, hospital food....nope, not hospital food.

                      Hi Phil,

Apologies for late addition to the thread. Haven't been spending as much time as before on Casebook. Very pleased to see that you seem to be recovering. Take it steady.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

                        Phil,

Just kick back, read some RIP, and mend.
