This artist is phenomenal. But I wanted to put it up here because of Rubyretro's love for 'Trent'.

The man he's done in this painting made me think of Trent. Very much captures that sort of character and that lovely time in cinema, the murder mysteries of the 40s.

As you can see this man can paint.

They're perfect. Absolutely stunning.

I'm literally pouring over them in disbelief, at first I was sure they were photographs. To paint like that, well, like either of these guys is no easy task. Really supreme talent.

Can I ask what Casebook member? What lady of your aquaintance?

The paintings are amazing.

Most people who call themselves artists these days are unable to paint in that way.

In my opinion it takes a real artist to be able to make us think that we're looking at a photograph.

Before cameras were invented rich people had to find artists that could paint. Nowadays daubs pass as art.

To the first, a riddle? I'm not very good at those but now I will be working on it,

to the second, LOL! I thought you were referring to the first, misread your post. But these guys make me almost want to toss the brush! Or use more linseed...they are inspirational.

I do hope Rubyretro sees Steven Lawler's work, absolutely the artist who could portray Trent
