come to think of it, c.d., how come you haven;t pick up on Louie Gohmert's suggestion that the US Forestry Service (not NASA, or even the greek god Atlas) should alter the orbit of the moon to fight climate change?

Followup question: Is this an implicit admission by Louie Gohmert that Climate change is not a Hoax?

I was not aware of that but thanks for bringing it to my attention. Technically, Louie is what we call an idiot.

I wouldn’t want to go overboard on this but I’d suggest 20 lashes with a cat o’ nine tails as a sentence. I’m guessing though he’ll be told not to do it again. And I’m guessing that he’ll go on to do worse and that in 10 years time he’ll be on his third or fourth prison sentence.

On the other hand he did apologize (sarcasm intended).

Putting salt instead of sugar into your tea is a mistake. Karate-kicking a 74 year old into a river is not.

"Obviously I’m very sorry and that, you know, it wasn’t supposed to happen. I didn’t realise he was 74 years old", he said.

“Obviously.” His regret certainly wasn’t very ‘obvious’ at the time.

”it wasn’t supposed to happen.” What was the alternative outcome that he had expected from a flying drop kick on a man standing at the waters edge?

”I didn’t realise he was 74 years old.” Of course if he’d have been 54 years old it would have been perfectly acceptable behaviour.

It is if you get caught.

10cc? He's eighteen, I'd hazard a guess that 10cc rank fairly low on his list of inspirations. Although, if there was any justice in the world, he'd be enjoying a dance at the local county jail.
