  • Murderer fled with tiger

Well, you don't see this every day...

Man who fled with a tiger has been caught, but the animal is on the loose, Houston police say

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/10/us/ho...rnd/index.html

It's a Bengal tiger. It belonged to a criminal. It's roaming Texas. Oh boy...

I wonder if the tiger will come quietly when they arrest him?

I heard the police are looking forward to the thrill of the fight and are consequently rising up the challenge of their rival

Was he trying to put a tiger in the tank?

I read another report that said...
“The big cat was spotted in Texas”
            Surely that’s a leopard?

LOL thanks for the cat puns!

Heard tonight that the man was an accused murderer, out on bond. I guess if he can afford a pet tiger, then he could afford bail. The tiger is named "India", by the way.

Someone said today there are more captive tigers in private ownership than wild tigers in the open. That is disgusting.

Actually, the big car belonged to the wanted guy.

Never heed the advice of the chap who told my grandfather to shoot a tiger between the eyes if he saw one when out hunting at night.

Poor grandfather was killed and eaten by two one-eyed tigers walking arm in arm.

                  I thank you.

Well, I read the above story and now I think maybe he did steal the tiger. A neighbor said the animal doesn't belong to Cuevas, who wrangled the tiger into a white SUV and drove it away., after pleading wirh an off-duty policeman to not shoot it.

Maybe he was using it as a distraction to get away?

Last update: Tiger has supposedly been returned to its owner. Man had his bond revoked and is in jail.
Hopefully this is the end of the... tale?

Man last seen with missing Houston tiger jailed on unrelated charge

Funny comment in the story. The tiger "used to visit Cuervas twice a month"... what? Was it a shared custody thing? The owner's identity remains unknown at this time, but I guess the wildlife and exotic pet sanctuaries that offered to take "India" are out of luck. India, by the way, was pretty young still, or so I read.
