    Hello Ms Diddles,

Very glad you liked the book. Yes, Bennett was a character. Can't believe he peed in that piano in front of all those people. Apparently things like that were frowned upon in his day and age.

Here are two more books I think you would like.

And if you ever want to trade in the ice and cold for the heat of the Amazon:

There is a great quote in "The Lost City of Z" from a famous arctic explorer known for being a hard ass and enduring incredible hardships on the ice. He thought he would check out the Amazon jungle. Was there for about 15 minutes and said screw this, I'm out of here.

        Thanks for these, c.d!

I particularly like the look of the Lost City of Z.

        I've actually ordered two copies.

One for myself and the other for my friend's birthday.

My friend is pretty intrepid and she did a month long trek in the Amazon a couple of years ago (even finding a tarantula in her knickers one morning!).

Hopefully it'll bring back fond memories....

Your friend sounds like she would probably enjoy this as well. I liked it a lot. Robyn Davidson was one tough woman.

Hey, if you can't let it all hang out in the middle of the Amazon, where can you?!!

The latest Nonfiction book I'have read is "How to Be an Antiracist" by Kendi. Read it in a book group over Zoom for the past semester.

Very illuminating. Your mileage may vary.
