After such an awful year it would feel rather insensitive to be wishing everyone the usual Happy Christmas, so I will instead confine myself to saying that I hope everyone in Ripperland (and your nearest and dearest) have a safe and peaceful festive season.
Come Hogmanay, I will be raising a large glass (and a defiant middle finger) to the year that's passed.
