    insufferably British

Hello David. If good literature counts as anything . . .

I know a chap who dislikes Chesterton. Calls him "insufferably British." One's strength is another's weakness. (heh-heh)

    Cheers.

Doesn't he have to work a miracle or two?

please don't tell Paolo Gulisano that I voted no

However I am not Catholic, so my opinion really does not count.....great writer, but a Saint? not so sure.

Hello Robert. Um, would getting people to read count as a miracle?

          Cheers.

Maybe Lynn, but i was looking for something more earth-shattering...like getting a Scot to buy him a drink.

Steadmund, Robert, you're blessed. (Steadmund, you'll be saved, and Robert is already a bienheureux.)
Lynn, first round for me at the flying inn (ça rime, je vais pas me priver !)

That is it. Many thanks my dear Robert. I do consider GK's works as a miracle.

                        other worldly

                        Hello Robert. Thanks.

Ah, that's not earth-shattering--it's down right other worldly. Of course, it could happen--right after the Scot tips the waiter. (heh-heh)

                        Cheers.

                            St. Thomas

Hello (again) David. Well, St. Thomas was supposed to have been levitated.

Also, that he lived to age 49 at his weight . . .

                            Cheers.
