            Hello Ms. Diddles,

"Prosperity Preachers" are a relatively new brand of Christian preachers. Joel Osteen is probably the most prominent among them. They emphasize that God wants us to be prosperous in material matters and their message is essentially how to achieve this. Pretty much snake oil salesmen. They do tend to get condemned by a number of traditional preachers for not focusing on spiritual matters.

The past s of their preaching is if you follow”their God” in “their way” You will prosper, and if you aren’t prospering you mustn’t be “Right with God”

”their way” almost always involves sending their organisation large sums of money.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

Whatever happened to that nice Jim Bakker? There was a man you could trust, did wonders for the whole TV evangelical movement.

You will be happy to know that ole Jim is still around and still as sleazy as ever. He has a small T.V. show and is surrounded by a bunch of crazy God botherers as regulars and guests. Hawking a lot of products and just recently got a cease and desist order from the FDA for selling a product claimed to be a treatment for the coronavirus.

And just as a heads up here, Al .... You might want to be careful about what you say about Jim. He recently revealed that God told him that he would punish anybody who says bad things about Jim. It pays to have the big guy on your side.

Hmm when I think that a few days later he had rebuked the virus and then declared it neutralized. I find it sad that people give such people credit (and the, their money).
